Where the work comes from
Jonah has spent more than five years in information technology, most of it in cloud and DevOps engineering. He has designed and maintained infrastructure for large enterprise organizations, and has built the deployment pipelines and code repositories that development teams rely on every day across multiple clients and enterprises.
That kind of engineering is exacting work, and it teaches a lesson that carries straight into automation. Systems do not fail randomly. They fail in specific, predictable places, usually at the seams where one tool hands off to another. The systems worth trusting are the ones built by someone who expected that and planned for it.
Both halves of the build
He is also a full stack web developer, which means he builds the whole thing rather than half of it. The front end is everything a visitor sees and touches: the layout, the typography, the way a page responds on a phone. The back end is the machinery behind it, where data is stored, forms are processed, other services are connected, and the work actually happens.
Knowing both sides is why the automation work fits together. A form on a website is not useful on its own. It becomes useful when it reaches the right person, in the right place, without anyone retyping it.
What he does now
Most of his work today is automation and AI consulting for small businesses and practices. He finds the parts of a week that repeat, maps how the work moves today, and builds a system that carries it from end to end inside the tools a business already pays for.
The motivation is straightforward. Very few people started a business because they wanted to retype names into a spreadsheet or forward the same email every afternoon. That work is necessary, it is relentless, and it quietly takes the hours that should have gone to the thing they are actually good at. Handing it to a system gives those hours back.
He is genuinely interested in how a business runs, not only in the code. The best conversations usually start with someone describing the part of their week they dread, and end with a plan to make it disappear.
